Default Squirrel Hunting With Tracers

Found this video today and thought I'd share. I don't know that using tracers would be legal in my state, but they must be in TX. I know my boys would have fun shooting small game with tracers.

not sure its a good idea, shooting tracers into dry leaves on the ground could start a fire, least that's what I was always told

Out where I live even the snow is flammable. Forest fires are definitely a concern here (was missed by 1/4 mile this summer!). There is no way I'll ever even use tracers at the range, let alone in the field.

Just to confirm - you can be SURE that it's not a good idea. Tracers DO start fires (said as a user of tracer ammunition for some 24 years). They'll start fires in grass, in dry leaves, in low brush, in buildings, in vehicles, ...

I recommend you NOT use tracers for hunting, no matter how much fun the kids might find in it.

Only shoot tracers downwind of your house.

Yep, I wouldn't shoot a tracer around here for any reason.
Sure would be amusing though if it was safe to do.
