Just to confirm - you can be SURE that it's not a good idea. Tracers DO start fires (said as a user of tracer ammunition for some 24 years). They'll start fires in grass, in dry leaves, in low brush, in buildings, in vehicles, ...
I recommend you NOT use tracers for hunting, no matter how much fun the kids might find in it.
