Educating Coyotes
Does a person's "style" of calling come through each call a person uses? I mean, if I use a cottontail in distress call and call in a coyote and he winds me, he learns something. But will my "style" be recoginzable to that same coyote if I use a different call?

RE: Educating Coyotes
i do believe they do get educated to indavidual callers.this holds expecialy true with inexperienced callers.i also believe no matter how good you are, your going to educate a coyote once and awhile.

RE: Educating Coyotes
I agree with coyoteseeker, but would go a step farther and say that I belive
coyotes get programed to certian calls. There are some ranches that I hunt on
if you use a rabbit call they will leave the country in a hurry! When hunting
an area such as this try changeing the sound altogether such as using a fawn
bleat,a howler,etc.

I agree with both replys above, but I wish that it was easier to recognize individual coyotes, so that if and when I "educate" one, I would be able to recognize it if I every called it in again.I am fortunate enough to have enough area to hunt that I don't call the same area for about 2 to 3 weeks, although I do get skunked every now and then, I usually have action every trip out, bit I really don't know how many coyotes come that have already heard me.I carry 4 different hand calls with me, and switch up every now and then, try to keep them on thier toes.
