I bought one of these things ' cause it had a video with it. I don' t know, but it seems like junk. It' s hard to get a sound out of it, much less a coherent howl. Am I just too green for this, or is it really junk?

the sceery howler is not junk but it is very hard to use.it takes alot of practice before it sounds decent.theres alot of howlers out there that are much easyer to use but if you can master the sceery, it works good.had one for many years and it finaly got worn out.i now use quaker boy howlers, pro howler and the howler plus.not nessasarly becouse i think there the best but was in a gun shop one day and they had them on the self, so i bought them.one thing a newbee must relize is alot of howlers don' t particulary sound that good to us but they sound good to coyotes and thats all that matters.

I have it and love it! Sure, at first, I sounded like a 6th grader at the first day of band practice, but after some getting- used-to the call sounds great and is an effective locator. The volume is legendary. I really like the Lohman wood howler also, as it is very small and produces great sound
