I also think that most of the barrel burner probs were when the round first came out , I have not heard so much about it recently due to better powders and barrels. I also shoot coyotes with my 300 rum 110gr spitzers WOW at the damage!!!

What about the 243? With Winchester 95 gr. Supreme Elite you reach 3100 fps. so you have high velocity high gr. more nock down,and you don't need to pick the best day in the world to go shoot coyots.
