Weekend Red Fox
With a full moon rolling in, temps in single digits, and snow on the ground it proved to be a good weekend of calling.
My hunting partner called one in on Saturday morning and got it with his .17hmr It was a decent sized male. Sorry, no pics...
We saw 2 on Saturday night, one being the one that I killed. The first one we spotted driving in, but couldnt get setup in time and eventually ran him off.
Mine came on our second stand around 11:30PM. It came running in to a rabbit in distress. This was my first fox with my new Model Seven .204 and I was very happy with the results.
Around 120yard head shot. Not a bad weekend for us here in the East.
