Coyotes and weather
I was going to go out coyote hunting this weekend here in Wisconsin. It will be my first time but I know the yotes are in the area. Question for you guys- How much does the weather play into calling in the yotes?
The forecast for this weekend is cold and windy. Does the cold affect movement? I am assuming that windy conditions can hamper calling yotes in but any input would be helpful.

RE: Coyotes and weather
you may have to call louder than normal due to the wind,I have had good hunts and took coyotes in 15 to 20 mph winds, there is a benefit too, they will be less likely to hear you as you sneak in and set up,you can usually walk to your next set a few hundred yards away even with coyote's super hearing they cant hear your calls as good when the wind is blowing.Always remember to be scent free.Try spraying red fox urine, coon urine,or even doe urine in the air or limbs or grass around your set this sometimes confuses their incredible nose.Dont get discouraged if you dont score these animals can seem super smart sometimes. But other times when a younger dog races in to just a few yards away and looks right through you while youre pulling the trigger you wonder how they survive a full season!! CALL'EM IN CLOSE AND KILL'EM ALL!!
