I am planning on buying an T/C Encore pistol soon in 270. I know that once i have the gun, i am going to buy another, smaller barrel for it, and i will probably hunt coyotes with it. I was thinking either a 22-250, 223, or 243. All seem very versatile, what do you think? Thanks

Go for either the 22-250 or the .223. Both are great on coyotes. The .223 is a bit more fur friendly. The .223 is a bit cheaper when it comes to ammo. In my opinion the .243 is too much for coyotes, the 22-250 is plenty too, and the .223 is just right. I shoot the 22-250, but I like the results that I have witnessd by the .223.

if the rifle will be used for coyote and other small predators or varmints then diffinetly go with the 223.the 223 is a sweat round and its cheap and redaly availible.the 22-250 is also good but is alot harder on pelts and more expensive to shoot.the 243 is also a good round but i will agree with howler, depending on how close the coyote is and where you put the bullet they can be very hard on pelts.don't even concider the 243 for fox.that gun with the 270 for deer and other big game and the 223 for smaller game will be a very versatile gun
