yotes and decoys

i was woundering if any body has ever used a decoy when calling dogs. i live in eastern oregon and the dogs this time of year are geting real smart i would say that 95% of the when they come they circal down wind and im looking for a way to cut this % down.

I don't think a decoy will do what you're hoping it will do. I'd suggest putting a shooter 100 yards or so downwind of ya and let them do the shooting.
So many people buy a decoy thinking that it is going to sucker the coyotes right to it, when in reality, coyotes will still swing downwind, sometimes way downwind.

Ole rover will do OK.
Dogs will get a coyotes attention better than anything I've seen They are mobile so coyotes can see them better than a stationary decoy.With the rut coming up a dog will work even better!!!!!!

I've been using a Mojo Critter and even though it may not bring them straight in (yet) it does pull the attention away from you, so if you have to turn for the shot you can. I'm still waiting for a yote to do a full on charge to it but I've only been using it for a few weeks. The way I see it is it can't hurt.
