I heard somewhere if you use a hawk call, the squirrels will freeze and will give you time to draw back your bow to shoot them. anyone heard this???

i know if you whistle real loud they will. its a defense mechanism, it helps them blend in better, so they wont get ate, but it will also be there downfall.it works if you use an empty .22 shell.

i have one of those for stopping grouse/pheasants from running. havnt really had the chance to try it out though, because it's always in my buttoned pocket and my hands are always full whenever i need it.
