what food do grey fox prefer most? Do they respond to visual attractants as well as bobcats?

I have never caught one but with the prices up I would like to.

Try a visual set like a hay bail in a field. They will investigate to see if any mice are near.

I would also like to hear tips from others as well.

I caught quite a few of them by usinga dirthole set with a lure in the hole. Also try the double dirthole with food in one hole and an attractant in the other.

I've only caught a couple. One was in the woods with the trap set at openingof a hollow stump. The other was a dirthole set under a round bail of hay on the edge of woods. I think that i was using canned Jack Mackeral on both occasions. The only problem is that with that kind of bait you will also get any possum or skunk that comes along. But then again you might also get a coon or coyote as a consolation prize.
