I hear of people calling and using lights at night when hunting for coyotes, or bobcats. I've never done this, can somebody give me an overview on how this is done? Thanks.

night hunting predators is fairly simple, the basic concept is you put a light coverd with a red lens on top of your head or on your rifle or shotgun shine it out into the fields, trees and brush looking for there eyes to reflect back at you,the darker the night the better.some guys like useing bright lights and just use the outer egde of the beam to find there eyes and when its time to shoot hit them with the full beam.i like useing a light that has a reostat(dimmer switch)on it,keep the light just bright enough to see there eyes.if target indentity is diffacult then i have the abilty to crank it up and make sure i'm not about to pop the nieghbors dog.night hunting with lights is a whole different world then daytime huntin.its fun and very exciting and at times can be a hair raising experience.
