Default which one?

Im fixin to buy a new varmint rifle and was wonderin whats the better gun? A 22-250 or a .223? Whats the difference between the two? Thanks ya'll

What are you varminting for? Either will be a good gun. the 22-250 is a little bigger and you could use it for deer but i think its still a little small for deer. The 223 is a great all around varmint caliber. I would use the 223 over the 22-250 because of price of ammo. It is alot cheaper to shoot.

The 22-250 has more expensive shells than the 223, it will do a bit more fur damage to foxes, but usually not to serious except once in a while, but the bullet doesnt drop as fast as the 223, butthe 223 will still knock em down as far as you can accurately shoot without just guessing, so if you are shooting long range the 22-250 is the best unless price is an issue then 223 will still do the job.
