I remembered seeing some tropy records in one of Lee Rues books so looked it up.Listed 3,
one 62lbs6oz. Nov 4th 1950 in Nelson,Wisconsin
54lbs,Sterling,Col. Nov 11,1960
54lbs,Grant County,Wisconsin no date
They must be like the deer farther north the bigger they get.
Had a buddie that had a pet one that weighted 30+ lbs but don't remember the actual weight.That is the biggest one I have seen here in NC.Used to coon hunt a lot when I was growing up but haven't been in years.
