I'm not a big fan of coyotes but, one the size of a German Shepard is pretty damn big isn't it? It certainly is in Illinois. Be interesting to see any follow ups on this story. I hope the kid recovers ok.

sounds like a rabid animal to me. unless the hunters out there are downloading something new into their foxpro callers. hopefully the anti-hunters take notice, they seem to forget that early settlers to this country killed them off for a reason.

You think thats bad,it happens all the time in san diego. Its a coyote hunters dream.I have seen coyotes pissing on car tires like dogs in a crowded parking lot.In 05 i trapped and shot 150 yotes in 30 days! I was sick of smelling them. And all my action came from peoples back yards. The telephone poles are all papered up with pictures of missing pets, most of wich became dinner for the yotes.People out there just dont get it though, and they never will is my guess.

I like telling that story alot because it will mabe never happen to me again. But those coyotes were more like stray dogs than coyotes.I bring it up alot because id like people to know it can happen if the animals are not managed.Nobody hunts out there and its pretty normal to see coyotes lifting a leg on a tire like a dog in a residental neighborhood.
