Squirrel Call
#2
I usually just spot and stalk them, but when I do call I just form a tight circle with my thumb and forefinger and kiss it sharply to simulate a bark, with a little practice and finger manipulation you can make a very realistic bark. It works quite well and the price is right, and as an added bonus you never forget to bring your call. I've tried many call types, and that works as well as any of them.

calling at the wrong time can be counter productive, using your call to get your hidden squirrel to show himself seems to work better than calling blindly and alerting them to your position. silence is the best all round call, let them make the noise then stalk close. (I call more fox, and other predators in with a squirrel call than i do squirrel )
