Thats insane. Awesome pictures of the action too. I would actually like to see something like that i person. I dunno why, call it a morbid curiosity if you like, but I think watching nature in that aspect would be cool.

Wolves are the ultimate predator when it comes to pack cooperation/ambush, even more so than a pride of lions. Once they hamstring a moose, or any large prey for that matter, it is game over, especially when caught in deep snow like that. Great pics.

those pics were actually taken from a helicopter while some officials were out trying to locate the two different wolf packs in the area.

Well if I'm sitting in a treestand, I usually have some kind of weapon... And if I see THAT transpiring under the stand, you can bet that I'd be putting the camera away andopening up a 55 gallon drum of whoopa$$, and reaffirming my position atop the food chain. Those dogs would probably learn the hard way who the apex predator that day really was.
So it's fine if youto kill the wolves needlessly but they wolves are some how evil for killing and eating that moose?
