This is typical wolf style for taking down big game. The goal is for one or two pack members to rip out the achilies tendons leaving the animal unable to stand then it's eaten alive.A moose will try and back their hindquarters against a rock bluff or stump to prevent this but once the wolves got them bleeding heavily they have all the time in the world to wait and watch.Never mind the BS Disney and the treehuggers shovel about only taking the weak and old.Everything is a food group and they routinely kill for fun.[Excess]I have a 60's vintage outdoor life with pics from Anchorage Alaska where a pack was observed killing 17 Dall sheep and leaving them to rot. Also a collie eaten right off the porch of a cabin.Skull still in the collar with spine all that was left while ignoring frantic owners.[ at least they ate that one]Seen a lot of dead livestock first hand as well.We have wolves up to our eyelids here in Alberta ,maybe Yellowstone would like the rest.Talk locally of a bounty being brought back.Don't want them wiped out just numbers reduced somewhat. You should see what they can do in a deer yard.Kinda like an alligator at a duckfarm. Before someone goes comparing wolves to humans remember we're the one's that are supposed to have a conscience.............

I saw a cow elk get taken down by four wolves....at the point where one was hanging from her nose while one was tearing at her belly...I had a wave of sadness envelope me.
As the cow was being taken down, bawling for any kind of help(I would have taken out the wolves if I wouldn't have been on a scouting trip, I didn't have a gun on me, but after seeing that I bought my Springfield XD 40 and I never leave camp without it).
I know a lot of you think this is cool....but it is an absolutely terrible thing to witness in person! Especially when you know these animals are killing these animals and eating them alive...and they are killing them to the point of causing hunting season to be drastically altered for the worse!
