RE: what to do with a dead coyote
I have seen some old-timers make sausage out of them (tried it), but personally I wouldn't touch the meat as a general rule. Coyotes are known to be highly parasitic, especially thier intestinal tract.
A head mount/pedistal mount is nice. I am waiting to get one back from the taxidermist. Also, a mount not commonly seen is a rug with felt border, and the head in open mouth pose (like a bear rug, etc.) These options might cost you around 400 bucks. |

Ive seen head mounts where it like mounted on a peice of uhh... log like a fish but it has a base with like rocks and stuff it sets up like a lamp but without the light and shade...

I skin them out and keep the pelts. Haven't rugged one yet but that thought has crossed my mind a time or two.

RE: what to do with a dead coyote
ok since most of you are saying to skin it, do you do it like you would to a deer? or is there a special way?

RE: what to do with a dead coyote
Oh, god. Dont eat it. Whoever makes sausage out of them has a mental problem.

If the bullet doesn't exit (.22 HP) the pelts bring from $18 to $20.
About, the meat, find an Asian Market and they will buy a fresh kill. |
