Default Squirrel Pole

Up by my camp the red squirrel population is at a all time higheh. So let the shooting of this varmit begin! Any one eating reds??

Those look like fox squirrels to me , reds are usually smaller than greys and those look pretty good size . I have lots of hickory and oak on my place , the foxies gets as big as my arm , reds would never come close to that .

There are a Ton of reds by my place too. They are fun to chase down with the .22 The fox squirrels around here are huge too. Last year i think i got one that was over 5 lbs

Those are reds.

They just look bigger because it is a close up photo.

Foxsquirrels look like this. You will notice the one red squirrel amongst the foxsquirrels.

yeah in illinois the fox squirrel havn't got to 5 lbs yet but boy they are good, took one outa a tree with my savage 17 hmr from 76 yards

I shoot digger squirrels (atleast that is what we call them)
I have shot about 300 by now and we hunt with shotguns.

those are red squirrels ....wouldnt mind havin a few of those for taxidermy purposes ..... kill lotsa fox and greys here ..... thinkin bout headin north for sum black phase greys next season .... congrats on the tree rats
