I'm new to predator/varmit hunting. I'm looking to buy an electronic caller. I was looking at the lohman remote controled cd caller. It runs about $279 at bass pro. I was wondering if anybody has used this caller? Any pros or cons to pass along? I have been told to get a foxpro caller but to get one I can use on fox, crow, bobcat and coyote will cost quite a bit more. I hate to buy a piece of junk though.

years ago i dropped over 300 bucks on a remote control elec caller thinking it would increase my odds with coyote.truth is even with the sound removed from my location,it didn't add any more pelts to the pack horse.when it comes to coyotes, hand calls out perform elec callers all day long.if you want one for crow or even fox then get one but for coyote learn to use hand calls.as far as what one,the fox pro is hard to beat.small, light and no tapes or cd's to screw with.the phantom predator caller is another good one but you still have that big speaker to deal with.
