Default Look at the size of this red squirrel

Look at this huge red squirrell i shot. It weighed two pounds and one ounce and was 24 inches long from the tip of its nose to the tip of its tail.

It was nice eating, the meat was very tender and moist. Not dry and tough like older squirrells. Shot with a 12 gauge single shot

I shot it when i was walking back to my truck along the railroad tracks. The river runs along the tracks and there are more in the area like it.

In this territory, NYS, that is a gray squirrel. However, I know that they are called different things in different areas of the country!

NO MATTER WHAT... IT IS HUGE!!!
