you have discoverd that being the hunted rather then the hunter is very exciting thing to do.i love it as long as the thing hunting me isn't big enough to eat me <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>congrats on the succsessfull coyote hunt.

Yes, Edward, calling can be very exciting.I've actaully called coyotes right back that have been shot at and missed.Not too many coyotes will do this though.Another thing is that once a missing shot has been fired, alot of times you can get the coyote to stop time and again by howling with your voice, sounding almost like a whoooooo, instead of a bark.I've seens coyotes stop as many as four times after being missed.And yes, many times, if a coyote responds to a call very quickly, say with in a minute or two and it is taken with a good one shot clean kill, if ya continue to call, other coyotes may come on in.Keep after them, and good luck!

Smacking those 'yotes sure makes for some fun. It also fills in the dreary months between deer and turkey seasons.
