I am looking into getting a single shot with scope for deer hunting this fall and would like to warm up with it this summer and was wondering what the range would be with a 12ga sabot?? I am guessing prolly about 120yds??

if you are shooting a sabot slug through a rifled bore, then the range is what your gun will shoot accurately to in other words if you can hit a paper plate at 150 yards then you should beable to hit a coyote at 150 yards. though i have never seen a slug gun shoot very good past 150 yards a 12 ga slug has plenty of energy to humanely dispatch a coyote im sure to every bit of 200 to 300 yards.

I use a redot scope on my shotgun, its zeroed for my rifled barrel for 100 yards its also about centered to 40 yards with shot loads in the smooth barrel.
