Default Went calling this weekend...

Took along two hunters that were new to the sport. The wind was blowing like crazy, so I wasn't expecting much from the hunt. The moon was alsobright and full. The wind had been blowing a little easier in the mornings, and there was a brief window where the moon was nearly down before the sun started rising, giving us a little relief from bright light. At our first set, I called up a huge coon. I picked him up and guestimated his weight to be about 40 pounds or so. On the next set, we got nothing, but on the way back to the truck, we ran across some hogs and nailed a huge one. While we were tracking the hog, we ran across two coyotes, but couldn't get a shot off. On the third set, we came up empty. That was about all I had time for, so we had to quit. Not a great success, but at least we didn't leave without sniffing a little success. Should have taken the camera with me, but I didn't, so no pics.
