Default First .223

I was wondering I this gun is good for a .223 do they shoot good.
It is a New England Firearm Handirifle. I want it because .223 are
fun to shoot and I can get different calibers for it.

I have heard good things about them and they are priced right so enjoy and remember there is no such thing as a bad gun some are just better than others. and a good gunsmith can fix most problems. JMHO

NEF guns are great, they are accurate and reliable. I own a Rossi (which is made by NEF) and have shot many NEFs. It's nice to be able to get different barrells for it too.

getting a rossi .22 WMR and 12 gauge combi... all the guns with the hinged barrels have an added amount of accuracy due to the lesser space for the shell to 'move', just my two sense

I had problems ejecting shells in my NEF 10 ga. & my local sports store sent it in for me. Fixed the problem @ no cost to me. Great PR. Have fun & aim small.

I have a Harrington Richards in 30 30. Which I beleive is the samemaker just a different name. The beauty of those rifles ismany options of calibers just by changing barrels. That was my first deer rifle 25 + yrs ago, and I still have and use it to this day. Enjoy it!!! they are fun

You'll really like the .223. It is a great little cartridge for varmints and small game.

Hello. Santa brought me a Rossi single shot .223. I will be using it for gophers in SW Saskatchewan. I will need a scope, probably a decent Bushnell. Anybody familiar with the gopher situation in SW Sask. will appreciate the "need" for several different guns in a good day of gopher shooting!! Mostly I use a scoped 10/22, then change to a semi-auto 12 ga. for a while. Now I have a third option - .223!! Can't wait!
