Default woodchuck and coyote rifle

I am in the market for a new varmint rifle and after changing my mind from the .204 to the .223 because i don't reload and the .204 is 3x as expensive as the .223 i've narrowed it down to 2 possible rifles.

I was either thinking of getting a savage 16Fss in the .223 which i found around me (long island, new york for $450) because i heard good things about them.

OR i was thinking of getting a NEF single shot don't know what exact model yet but what i wanted to know is

1. How accurate are the NEF's in the .223
2. ABout how much do they go for??
3. Anybody have any luck with them or personal experience in using them

If it is significantly cheaper than the savage i might go with it cuz in reality i would only be using it maybe a dozen times a year.

Thanks for any info.

i like savage. it fits real well and heck of a tack driver. pluss you will have more than one shot with a savage which you will nedd if you are hunting coyotes. because alot of times they come in, in pairs. just my opinion. also that accutrigger is extremly hard to beat. i have the model 12 stainless. and love it. almost wish i went with the 16 though because the 16 is lighter. good luck. let us know how it works out.

I bought the model 16 savage w/scope and sling in 204. Tack driver right out of box. $400, may even be cheaper in your area. I was looking at the NEF, but went with the savage for same reasons duckdog mentioned. Its nice to carry when yote hunting!
