yes it would work! Think about it, we use tree stands for deer, to see better and for the deer to not see us, soooo it would be the same for coyotes.

yes it WOULD work but when i coyote hunt, I like to stay mobile to play the wind and the sun. Plus I only stay at one spot for 25 min or so. Even a climber would be just one more thing to carry. I think its the same reason that not many people use them for turkey hunting.

Sounds as if you are trying to fool his nose. If you figure it out just put your patent on it. I will buy it

that's the last thing that i would take. too heavy. ya.. i know guys have seen and shot them from tree stands but they werejust lucky to be in the right spot at the right time. you are pretty much on the move all daywhen you are hunting these. you would be spending all your time going up and down trees. the more areas you try, the better your odds are. and believe me your odds arenot very high to start with. i carry the lightest gun and backpack i have when we are out. after 6 or 8 hours of walking and calling everything gets heavy. hunting coyotes makes deer and turkey hunting look easy. good luck though.

i wouldnt use a stand for coyote hunting. not only is it heavy but when you are callin the coyote is going to wonder why the rabbit is crying in the tree and then he will spot you. i have had it happen .

I wouldn't. Coyotes aren't stupid and they can hone in on where sounds come from very well. Rabbits don't climb trees.

I sometimes call from treestands .
I have 30 or so on the different places I deer hunt .
Between ladder , hang on , tripod and ground box stands .

I find calling from them to work great some of the time , other times it SUCKS.
If you miss or just spook a yote , it will NEVER come close to that stand again .

I can't tell you how many times I have had them look up .
But the bullet is normaly on the way .

But you lack mobility .
Sometimes moving a few yards makes all the differance

Never, EVER use a treestand for yotes. Hunters in my opinion need to work to get a closer shot on the animal for better arrow or bullet placement. If you see a coyote 200 plus yards away and your using a larger caliber, YOU'RE SCREWED! Never use a tree stand for coyotes, it sucks!
