Best bet with an 06 would probably be a full metal jacket. The core loc will probably be messy on the way out. May get away with it on a few but the majority are going to be a mess.

surplus 150 grain fmj's would work great as long as it's legal. in florida you can't hunt with or carry fmj's on your person. if it's legal it would be your best bet. you could put it through at least one shoulder and ancor it and you would still have a nice neat .30 caliber hole. if you could get a neck shot or non "heavy" bone hit i would doubt that the coreloct would have time to expand. yotes are alot smaller than most people think so i would doubt it would expand. but i could be wrong.

Regular core-lokt's should be okay but if you hit a shoulder at 60 yards that whole 1/4 of the coyote will be gone. Trust me.

I shot a doe this year with a 150 gr 30-06. It made a 5 1/2 diameter hole in the back, no exit wound. I would say no to the 30-06 for yotes.
