Anyone have any experience with Night Vision scopes and coyote hunting? How well do the scopes work, realisitc shooting ranges, etc.?

my buddy is a army ranger and told me 2nd gen and better are great never used one though if you get onelet us know how it works
I perfer the spotlight for coons though
