Default More Red Action With *PIX*

Well myself and spidermonkey went out like we do every Thursday. Before we went out I decided to adjust my scope at the range to tighten my grouping. That was a big mistake. I missed 4 squirrels at close range and then put the dial back where it was. After that I had abuot 5-6 turkeys come in 30 yards. Two of the reds was a double(as I call it). Shot one off a log and then did a stalk up to it and took another one that was with it. Just then a third came out from under a log about 3 feet fom me but I never got a shot off. To top it all off I witnessed either a hawk or owl grab a red from a tree branch and take him to the ground and then fly off with him cause I tried to get a closer look. I can't wait till next Thursday.

wow, nice job spikehorn. where i hunt the little reds are harder than heck to shoot at. they tend to stick to the pine trees that have all the dead branches on 'em so once the squirrels in the trees you cant see it. so you have to stalk one on the ground and quick get a shot off. once me and my buddy were out there and one ran up a tree and it must've jumped to 10 different trees while we were firing at it. i think we went through something like 20 cartridges on that bugger. but finally i found its head sticking off a branch and my bullet connected. took quite some time though!
