As long as you don't plan to shoot over 100 yards.;)

Actually, any of the three will work great, but I would go with the Marlin 336 too. If you want to maximize your 30-30...

No one is arguing that a 30-06 has better ballistics than a 30-30 (and has nothing to do with this thread), but the "lever action style guns are great when the shot won't be over 100 yards" comment...

I don't understand this statement. Why should a lever action be limited to 100 yards?

I killed this hog at 150 yards and with a 30-30 (according to many guys on here that is an impossible feat)....
