There are pointing labs lines that throw smaller dogs. My brothers female is only 50 lbs and my male is only 68 lbs. Can't go wrong with a pointing lab! A Brittney (sp) might be another option.

Don't know alot about Boykins but have seen some run in HRC and they did very well. I'm almost sure they are a flushing dog, but not 100% on that. I have heard that they are both great in the field...
