The 700 is a whole lot better gun than the 710. In my opinion there is really no comparison. I would not consider buying a 710.

Mine likes H4831SC and the 140 amax in Lapua brass with Fed210M primer. It will shoot 3/4"-1" at 400yds. I have not tried it past 400 yet.

The 22-250 is a good predator gun and will do fine on whitetails if you choose the right bullet. That being said I use a 243 Ackley for predator hunting.

Remington trigger guards are made from alluminum. They may sound like plastic if you tap on them but they are alluminum. You can buy aftermarket bottom metal that is steel such as Williams, HS...
