Default Gun Help

Hey guys, I need some opinions. I am going to start predator hunting this year and I would like to buy a new gun for this purpose. I would also like the gun to be able to take deer too. Any suggestions? I know the larger caliber will reek havoc w/pelts so I was looking at .22-250. Obviously, the .22-250 is in-sufficient for deer. What do you think? Thanks !

243 or for more power 25-06. 22-250 will do the job on deer, but isn't really ideal.

.243
With 100 gr Hornady's they will leave nice little holes in yotes, on deer they leave nice big holes. 100 gr sierra game kings in federals are awsome too, so are the 85 grsierra game king hollow points in federal.

308 does not get enough respect for predator/varmit hunting. Yes it is a little big for shooting groundhogs, but I am yet to see one person that eats them. Who is scared of messing up the meat on a coyote, not me.

308 is a great round for deer and most animals in North America.

308 ammo is inexpensive and probably can me bought in more variety than any other ammo.

Probably more long distance accuracy records held by 308 than any cartridge, so we know it can be accurate.

If there is a one gun cartridge it has to be 308, maybe 30-06.

Sorry, sorry, sorry, did not read the pelt part at first, but that can be overcame by headshots and FMJ ammo, there is a lot of ammo available for 308 that will mot expand enough to damage pelts. Most varmit ammo will make a messy exit wound even in a small caliber if it passes through.
