Thanks Rob! He fought pretty good, grassies are notorious for being explosive out of the hole and then laying down not too long after the fight begins, this one took quite a while to get in though....

It's the ongoing debate, both have their pros and cons. I personally shoot a spincast, the new Muzzy reel, and would never go back to the retriever and I shot the retriever for probably 5 years...

Yes 40 lbs is plenty for those grassies, that's what I shoot on my osprey.

Recurves work well for bowfishing, my fishing partner Mark Land shoots a Black Widow recurve.
