I hunted during Maryland's three-day winter season. I called in and got a jake. It was easy to decide where to put up my blind because of tracks in the snow.

Yep. I got an early start here in Maryland. Maryland has a three-day winter turkey season in which a hunter can bag one bird of either sex. I got a jake yesterday.

I like to cut the breasts up into cutlets about 1/4 inch thick. Then, I dip them in beaten eggs and then coat the cutlets with Italian bread crumbs. Then, I fry them in olive oil.

After getting skunked last year, my goal is to simply get a legal bird this year. I plan to hunt in WV, MD, DE, and PA.
