I've seen Marlins very close to the $400 price brand new. Look around. Bass Pro has the 336W on line for $429 right now......I would go that route.

Well it's done.......thank you all for your input. I think many are accurate when they say "you can't go wrong". I think I am already thinking about the next purchase but thats months down the road....

I appreciate all of the responses, so I will give more detail for the question. For background I have a few auto loaders, and a 20 g shotgun, and a few pistols, however this is for my first bolt gun....
