RE: is the .17 enough gun?

As stated previously, the HMR is fine for everything up to Fox. For yotes you need to focus on placement and try to keep shots under 100yds. As for accuracy, I've found that you have very little drop...

RE: eating squirrel

I've shot numerous sqirrels and have yet to find one with botfly larvae in them. As I understand, they only eat dead & rotting flesh. The larvae you're refering to, I've seen but only in rabbits....

RE: Marlin 1894 44 Magnum

Standing, I can usually keep mine in at about 4-5". I haven't had an opportunity to take it out for deer, but I imagine most anything you choose will plant it. My favored round is a handloaded 240...

RE: Thoughts On Home Defense Weapons

I have a "Baby" Desert Eagle in .40 S&W as well as a Winchester 1300 Defender loaded with 6's. There's little more intimidating than the sound of a shotgun being pumped in the dark. :D

RE: Spartan Over/Unders by Remington?

I picked up one of these last year. It was flawless from the getgo and while the action was stiff, after a few hundred rounds, it smoothed out a good deal. Alas... it was a casualty of my divorce...

RE: .17 HM2

The HM2 is a nice little round with twice the energy of you bulk .22lr. Aguila, however, makes a .22 hypersonic that beats the HM2 in energy and comes close in speed. If I remember correctly, the HM2...

RE: What do you use a .22 for?
