This shotgun is heavy, and in 20ga. there is very little recoil

I've got an H&R Ultra-light in 12 ga. Mine wears a Leupold 4x and has never had an issue with recoil. I'm a big Leupold fan and don't think you can go wrong with them. Slug guns are a 100 yard gun at best so 4x is all you need in my humble opinion.

If you are looking for a scope in the $200 range, a friend of mine put a Vortex model in that price range on his Contender. He likes it.

My personal recommendation ... Ziess Conquest 3-9x40mm. The $450 or so that you spend for the scope , you'll never regret doing so. This is a very good buy.
