Default New Scope for 7mm WSM

I just got a new Browning X-bolt 7mm WSM, and now i need a new scope for it, i will using it to hunt elk in north eastern Oregon, i really do not want to spend over $500.00 for a scope, so any options would be appreciated. Thanks

This looks like a good deal right now & would fit the bill for your purposes;

Another fine choice is a Sightron Big Sky. The 3-12 X 42 is about $515 but there is a $75 rebate now so that brings it down some. The 3-9 42 is cheaper too. Check the SWFA website:

I to have a new Browning X-Bolt but mine is in .300 WSM. A scope that is real high on my list is a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x50. Third Generation Shooting Supply has it for $374.69. that is a smoking deal.

+1 on that. I compared a Monarch 2.5-10x side by side the Zeiss Conquest 3-9x. Eye relief was about the same, however when viewing different things in the store, the Nikon had a definite problem showing true colors and no distortion. The Conquest was night and day better then the Monarch, and most places that sell them, sell for $399. The Conquest went on a new Xbolt 300 win mag for the wife.
