American Gunnery is a new up and coming company and they are offering a pile of scopes at cheap prices. They are new in devlopement but if you search their optics you will spend hours with them. Great Customer service even though they are new. They started a forum and prostaff which is a cool twist for an online shopping company

Here is the direct link to optics.

I gotta disagree with Bigbulls and Hometheatreman here...
So, what exactly are you disagree with me on?

The fact that in your text paragraph you said the same thing that we did regarding a high end Leupold vs. a prostaff????

I'm not a huge Leupold fan or anything. I think they are over priced scopes but to say that a prostaff rivals top dollar Leupold's is just absurd.
I'm not at all a Leupold fan as you can get much better scopes imo for cheaper. However, the Prostaff doesn't even come close to rivaling Leupolds top dollar scopes.
As far as the overall quality goes, of course, the pro-staff is, at best, an entry level scope and of course, the leupold offers MUCH finer optics, finer quality, better light transmission, better clarity, etc etc than the bargain bin prostaffs, but in my personal experience, neither are very user friendly when it comes to parallax or tracking.

I have the exact same Tikka t3 in .270 WSM as you do and I got a VX-II 3-9 x 50mm I love it, lots of light for those last moment shots. I'm going out to 300, 400 yards max

Yeah, I read this post, and I didn't really see what he disagreed with me on either.

In the $600 price range it would probably be hard to find a really bad rifle scope. Look at the critical specs (eye relief, etc.), consider reliability and customer service - and just pick something with which you will be happy.
Reviews, you get what you paid for. If its a free review, there you go.

There are some on here that insists on talking about products they only read about. They take thier small 1 to 2 scope experience, read a bunch on the internet, and now feel they are optics experts.

In my limited experience with different scopes, Simmons suck, period. The couple of tascos Ive used were mediocre. The two Leupolds I have on two of my magnums are clear. I have to say, the higher power of the two, 4.5-14x40mm is a tad more fickle with eye relief, to me, vs the 3.5-10x40 on the other gun. Both are the VARI-X III, the older ones. They arent as clear as a Swarovski I looked thru, but are both excellent scopes. I would like to play with a Zeiss and a Nikon to see how they stack sometime.
