Only one way to find out John......who knows you might get lucky.

Which model Vortex did you get? I've read that the Viper line is on par with the VX-III, and the Diamondback line is on par with the VX-II. The Crossfire, is their only Chinese made scope, but they get pretty good reviews for a cheap scope. Vortex seems to be taking the scope market by storm. They are producing great products, at great costs, and offering great customer service that's as good or better than Leupolds. I've not read much about these scopes on this site, but if you look around on other sites, there is a ton of info on them.

Yeah, the Diamondback is one heck of a scope. I don't think you will be disappointed at all.

I like the Viper better but the Diamondback's are quite good also. The CS @ Vortex is outstanding BTW.

Well, the Viper is certainly better, but it's also the next model up. Kind of like comparing a VX-II to a VX-III. That's also about what each one is comparable to. Although I will say they have some of the Vipers on Closeout right now for hell of a deal. If you like the sizes they have on sale it's too good of a deal to pass up.

While the Viper is better, the Diamondback, is also one of the best out there until you get in the $1000+ range imo. It's an amazing scope and nothing about it makes it not good. Everything about it is great. In it's price range it's for sure a best buy.
