Default What kinda of scope????

I've been lookin' around now for quite some time, and still can't decide on a scope. IT's goin' on a 7MM RUM, but most of the shots I take are within 300 yards. Whats the best choice for me?? any suggestions are greatly appreciated..

Moved to the Scopes and Sights forum...

I really like Nikon so I would slap a Nikon Monarch on it.

When talkin about optics you get what you pay for. 7mm rum has a lot of recoil. I personally am a leupold fan. And I would go with a vx-II if I didnt want to spend alot of money. Atleast with a good scope you wont have to worry about recoil knockin off the zero of your scope.

I love my Leupold VX-III 2.5-8.Low enough to not cause trouble in heavy cover and more than enough power for open country.

Main question is "what is your budget"?

Personally, I would go with a VX-III or VX-3 3.5-10. You can leave it on 3.5 for close-in work, or move it to 10 if you ever get a chance to reach out for one.
