Default sun shade?????

i bought a new rifle, a weatherby vanguard 22-250. i put a
4-12-44 pine ridge scope on it for now. i would like to try a sun shade or lens shade. i have had problems with glare on my other rifles. wondering if anyone uses them, my friend has one and says it works good. i was wondering if i could buy any sunshade for a 44mm scope or does it need to be made by that company? any info or sugestions as to what sunshade to puton or were to buy them. thanks

As long as the threads match up you should be good to go.

ive never used a sun shade on any of my hunting rifles.. but i used them on all of my precision guns when i worked as a law enforcement officer (was one of the snipers on our tactical team).. i found them to be very effective..

i did find that a shorter shade (2") was all i really needed.. anything longer was really just a waste on both my 40mm and 50mm scopes..
