Default Scope for 300 Win Mag

Hey Guys,

Looking for a good scope for my 300 Win Mag. Obviously it has to be fog, shock proof etc. I really don't want to spend over 250.00 on it. What do you guys think is good for that amount of money?

Stay Safe.

KC

Check these out:
Vortex Diamondback, Sightron SII, Nikon Buckmasters or get a used Leupy off Ebay or similar.

Take a look at the Bushnell Elite line too. I am a big fan of high dollar glass and have Zeiss of SAwarovskoi on my hunting rifles, but realize not everyone can go there. I bought a used 50 cal. ML with an Elite 4200 already mounted on it. I procrastinated and never got around to changing out the scope ... then the season was here !! So I left it on. I really like the scope. So much so that I am leaving it on the rifle. It did fine for me last season. Low light performance is pretty good and clarity is great. The only "negative" for me is that the scope is rather long and a tad on the heafty side. But that is no big deal as far as I am concerned. I think that the 4200 series is within your price range.

Try Nikonor leupold VX1 or go to samplelist.com they have a lot of scope on there at a good price. I have a 3-9x40 VX2 leupold on all my gun's from 257STW to a 300RUM and they do great.

You can get a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 for around $200 and they have a forever warrenty on them. I have one on my 300 win mag and it has done a great job for the last 4 yrs. I have no complaints at all. In fact I am buying another one to put on a .270 this year.

Buy some good glass.......................accuracy counts.

Rule of thumb...................1X-2X what your gun cost.
