Default Kingfish!

Kings are now at our pier. A friend of mine...yeah, I have a friendlost one when his leader broke just as they were going to gaff it. Another nearby pier landed a 36 lb. king. Tomorrow will be packed on the "T" end of the pier. I will get a pic of the crowd and you will see what I mean.

Back in the early 50's my father had a 28 foot tunnel drive launchwith a 1949 flathead V8docked at the Clearwater Marina and it was strickly rigged for trolling King Fish. I still have the Taylor Made solid black glass rod's and Penn Reels that he had taylormaded in 1951.

I love King Fish steaks!

Got washed out today, or maybe I should say blown out? Our pier is 1/4 mile long and out on the end it was blowing so hard the rain was coming down sideways, thanx to tropical storm Barry. There was only three of us out there and I chickened out after a couple of hours. When the waves got big enough to splash ON the pier, I left. They have a weather station on the pier with the sensors only halfway down, and it said the wind was 25 with gusts to 35.
