I did need to buy one for one of my 45's - an older Kimber Gold Match. The loads would shoot great in my Colts/Sigs/and Baer pistols - but wouldn't work in the Kimber.

For all handguns the Lee factory crimp die is the best thing going . IMO. Every handgun round I fire is Lee factory crimped.
