I've tried a half dozen different powders and RL-19 works best for me of anything . I happen to shoot three different 243's and wanted something that would preform well in whatever gun I happened to be using .

You know I have to admit, I am perplexed with this caliber. Reason I say that is, for short action cases I am used too like 7mm-08 and 308, powders in the Varget/4064/BL-C burn rates seem to give opimal performance with bullets from 140gr to 180. IMR4350 just seems way too slow for these calibers. But in a 243win, 4350 seems to shine. I mean its not near compressed either. In fact there are a bunch of loads out there with retumbo.

It surprises me. Maybe cause its such an overbore caliber or the ratio of bullet diameter/wieght vs. case capacity has something to do with burn rates and pressure curves.
