.30-06, 165 gr Nos. Part, and IMR 4350
Hello all! I have information from the Number 3 Nosler Reloading manual listing 53, 55, and 57 grains of IMR 4350 for the .30-06 and 165 Nosler Partitions. I was wondering if anyone has the newer manual, and if you could compare the loads for me. I know they tend to change from manual to manual over the years. Also, any little tricks or secret loads you know of with this bullet combination. I have tried the 165 Sierra HPBT, SPBT Gamekings, the Speer 165 Grand Slams, and will try the 165 gr. Partitions when they get here next week. (I am trying several bullets with IMR 4350 powder) (I got a $40 gift certificate from Cabela's for Christmat!
Thanks Guys.

hello charlie brown, I have the newest Nosler manual and for the 30-06 165 grain partitions and IMR 4350 it lists the loads as follows:
start: 53 grains: at 2602 fps
55 grains: at 2717
max: 57 grains: at 2832
haha looks to be same as what you have in the number 3 manual

I use 57 grains of IMR 4350 with 165 grain partitions. I loaded up some 165 grain Hornady Interbonds and got a bit better accuracy. I dropped a deer in it's tracks with the Interbonds on a 220 yard (laser rangefinder) shot. Give them a try.
